ARTICLE NO. 171 May 04, 2007
Spamazon!
In the last few hours I’ve received a good dozen identical e-mails from Amazon reminding me that Mother’s Day is coming up. Actually, I received another two while writing this post. Looks like Amazon’s mail software is on the fritz. Is anyone else getting flooded by (the) Amazon? (Chuckle.)
Update: The count is now up to 125 (!) e-mails from Amazon — nuts.

Flooded is the right word, I get emails from Amazon offering me “great deals” every week, sometimes many times a week. It seems a bookstore is a far better place to buy books.
When I wrote flooded, I meant FLOODED — as of this instant, I’ve received 47 identical. No wait, 48… I would unsubscribe but want to see how far this goes. I’ve sent them an e-mail, no response yet.
Alex.
Do you know or understand what is causing this to occur? This is also happening to me when I send out emails, using a particular format, the client software keeps replicating itself and resending the same email. Any help would be appreciated; anyone else want to jump in and detail the problem?
