Hyperautomation and Organizational AGI
Organizations that are teeming with ever-evolving automations can move into a new phase of existence, where data is leveraged to make valuable predictions at every level.
Sequencing advanced technologies to work in concert is something Gartner calls hyperautomation, and by their estimation, “Technology is now on the cusp of moving beyond augmentation that replaces a human capability and into augmentation that creates superhuman capabilities.”
These automations are expected to produce experiences that surpass what humans alone are capable of. In many ways, hyperautomation is analogous to organizational AGI. You might say that organizational AGI is the direct result of being in a state of hyperautomation. There’s so much cross-channel communication and sharing of data and skills that an ecosystem begins predicting needs before they arise—becoming “self-aware.”
