James is a writer of fiction and non-fiction, both under his own name and as a ghost-writer. He authored several books including Charles and Ada: The Computer’s Most Passionate ]Partnership, and founded The Conrad Press, which publishes fiction works by various authors, including Peter Taylor-Gooby, Ben Parker, and local historian Paul Crampton.
