Emma Blomkamp

Dr Emma Blomkamp is a facilitator, researcher and strategic designer, who specialises in co-design for public and social innovation. Founder and Convenor of the Co-Design Community of Practice (CoDesignCo), she is also an Honorary Fellow at The University of Melbourne and Associate of Innovation Unit. Emma has been leading participatory design and social innovation projects with public purpose organisations since 2014.
Born and raised in New Zealand, with experience teaching in Cambodia and France, she now lives on Wurundjeri Country in Melbourne (Australia). Emma has a PhD in urban cultural policy and continues to collaborate on academic research and publications on policy design and public innovation. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and enabling meaningful participation to improve collective decision-making.

Co-design community offers opportunities to connect and exchange with others, using creative and participatory methods. Learn more about a new online network of practitioners wanting to learn more about participatory design that is open to people all over the world.
