Clint Schnee

Husband, dad, design guy, poet, and empty-handed fisherman, Clint is a lifelong maker and inventor, with interests ranging from fine art and silversmithing to honing his handyman skills. Passion for the visual arts eventually won out and propelled him into a career in design.

Clint is best-known for his design leadership at Club Penguin, where he built a world-class design group across four studios and three continents. He has since been working as a UI/UX consultant and in-house for game and software companies such as Hyper Hippo Games, PRIVO, and ProSmart Sports.

Some of his other achievements include art direction of multi-language marketing campaigns, spearheading a global guidelines program and developing user interface best practices. However, he is most proud of successful trips to the grocery store with his four boys.

Friction serves different purposes in game design and experience design, and practitioners in each camp can learn a thing or two from the other.
