Prof. Jieun Kiaer is the YBMK KF Professor of Korean Linguistics at the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. She is a prolific author, publishing extensively in the fields of linguistics, Asian studies, and translation.
Her recent research focuses on the future of human language, social media behaviours, big data, and AI linguistics. With her expertise as a linguist, pragmatist, and specialist in Asian studies, Prof. Kiaer is uniquely positioned to address the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and its impact on language.
