UX Lead Designer

We are seeking a creative, dynamic User Experience professional to contribute to the design of a great experience for our customers across desktop, web-based and mobile applications. In this role, you’ll be responsible for understanding business and user requirements, conduct usability testing with end users, and work with product managers and developers to improve user efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction.

The applicant must have a fundamental understanding of user and business centered user interface design, information design, interaction design, and site structure; must be familiar with current design and technology trends and methodologies; must employ a combination of outstanding creative design ability and advanced technical skills to drive innovation across multiple platforms and develop pioneering art and graphic solutions to support web-based projects; and should find ways to include rich media techniques into creative solutions and stay on top of emerging technologies and latest web trends.

The applicant should have the ability to create wireframes, build prototypes, craft story boards and produce deliverables within tight deadlines. He/she needs strong communication skills and excels at championing the experience design on behalf of the users.

Essential requirements:

• 5 to 10 years experience in User Experience design
• Be comfortable in a leadership or team member role.
• Utilize user research techniques such as usability testing, interviews, work studies and heuristic evaluations. Analyze and interpret research findings for presentations to product and development teams.
• Contribute to the long-term vision of our platforms from a user perspective.
• Provide creative leadership on new product ideas and keep abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Lead and contribute to the creation of user interface designs; concepts, information architecture, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes and specifications.
• Work with the visual design team to implement visual styles that support platform branding, look and feel, and increase user effectiveness.
• Create and maintain user interface and visual design standards and guidelines.
• Advocate User Experience across the firm and increase awareness and training for groups outside UX.
• Great collaboration and individual problem-solving skills required for data gathering, identifying insights and creating optimal solutions in the user experience.
• Provide a portfolio of game-changing concepts and designs

Desirable skills:

• Expert skills in using prototyping software. Axure a plus.

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors or a related field of study.
