The digital experience team supports Boots UK, Republic of Ireland, and international providing a unique opportunity to experience the breadth of Boots. This is a close knit team comprising experts In user experience, interaction design, graphic design, front end development, delivery and customer experience strategy.
The importance of your role…
You will be ensuring the organisational structure and presentation of information across all devices translates effectively from a user's perspective. This role is essential to bring discipline and an approach based solely on solid usability principles and the organisation of information. The effectiveness of this position will reduce the time needed design resource due to clear IA for all projects.
What you will be doing…
- Ensure that the right information is presented in the right way, in the right place, at the right time for our customers
- Ensure all devices are considered across every piece of work from the outset
- Understand and challenge objectives and KPI’s in order to deliver the best solution
- Keep up-to-date with industry best-practices and how these can be applied to our business
- Maintain close working relationship with all CX teams, particularly design, CX delivery & strategy
What we are looking for…
You will need to be objective & pragmatic in your approach and have the ability to confidently use data to support decisions. Whilst you will work within agreed best practices, you must be able to challenge and evolve these when appropriate as technology and the market develop.It is essential you will be experienced in creating and refining wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, site maps, site architecture and scenarios. Ideally you will be competent in the tools of the trade (Axure, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or equivalents) and will have a solid knowledge of UX processes and methods. An understanding of responsive design principles and the role it fulfils for cross-device experience would be advantageous as would an awareness of development methods such as html, jQuery andCSS. You must be able to effectively articulate technical solutions in language appropriate for audience.
