Alan RalphSeptember 16, 2012A good primer for understanding how to work with web servicesAlthough the course title is 'AJAX Development', Mark covers a lot more in this course than just using Javascript to create interactive web pages. He also does a good job of explaining what XML and JSON are and why you should know about them if you want to create web pages that interact with services on other sites. There is also a look at using XSLT to present XML data, and a brief introduction to jQuery, one of the most popular Javascript frameworks. My only quibble would be that the course might benefit from being reordered so that some of the work files appear for download prior to the videos where they are referred to - I had to skip forward a few times to get hold of some of the files, as they are not always shown on the videos for you to enter manually.
