Defining and Informing the Complex Field of User Experience (UX)

We are looking for a talented visual and motion specialist to join a small cross-functional team whose mission it is to help shape the next generation product for Spotify.  In this role,  you’ll have the opportunity to help define the visual language and interaction patterns for our new product.  This is a great and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting project for one of the fastest growing companies in technology and entertainment.

To Get An Audition: 
You're both a design thinker and a craftsperson, with impeccable design and typographic skills and an immaculate attention to detail.  You understand the value in going beyond static visuals and demonstrating ideas through interaction and motion.

You're resourceful, responsive and quickly able to shift between "thinking" and "doing" on multiple projects at once, leading design from concept to completion.  You develop strong relationships and collaborate effortlessly with your partners in design, product and engineering.  

You are always working to improve your skills and thrive in an environment that welcomes honest, candid feedback.

  • 7+ yrs experience in design roles at a consumer focused technology and/or media company
  • Experience leading and defining the look and feel of well-known consumer products across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, OSX, Windows, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to speak fluently to business people and engineers
  • Ability to rapidly produce multiple concepts
  • Bold vision for the future of Spotify as well as digital and social media in general
