Defining and Informing the Complex Field of User Experience (UX)

You will get the opportunity to rock the house by helping spotify visualize campaigns for consumer marketing, label relations, business partners, and sales partners. You’ll be responsible for doing everything from designing collateral for our next big event to creating a stand alone website.



You're both a design thinker and a craftsperson, with expert level skills in both user-friendly design for the web and print media. You're resourceful, responsive and quickly able to shift between "thinking" and "doing" on multiple projects at once, leading design from concept to completion - all while balancing a stack of books on their head.  You have an outstanding digital portfolio and a meticulous attention to detail – you think nothing of making sure every pixel or vector looks perfect before you're done! 

With offices around the globe requesting design work, the projects are varied and the pace is fast - this is something that you think is both challenging and a lot of fun.  You enjoy engaging in a healthy debate about the consumer experience and sharing what you've learned with others.  

You develop strong relationships and collaborate effortlessly with your partners in design, marketing, label relations and PR.  You understand how business objectives are met via great user experiences and believe that the best designs prove themselves in the real world.  

You are always working to improve your skills and thrive in an environment that welcomes honest, candid feedback.  

Audition Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience from an in-house agency or ad-agency/digital agency
  • Experience leading projects from concept through execution
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or applicable programming languages
  • Ability to communicate and present to a variety of business and other stakeholders
  • 3D modeling experience  (Strata, SketchUp, Rhino, Maya) is a plus
  • Video editing experience (After Effects, Premier, Final Cut Pro) is a plus
  • The ability to stand out in a crowd as not just a designer, but a design thinker and leader.
  • Bold vision for the future of Spotify as well as digital and social media in general
  • A love of music


Submitting a strong portfolio in design that showcases deep visual and interaction design skills and creative branding work is a must; show us you know how to create a great experience.
