University of Maryland's Human Computer Interaction Lab
Mona Leigh Guha is the Interim Director of and a Research Associate at the University of Maryland's Human Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL). Her research in the lab is in designing technology with and for children. She leads teams of children and adults in designing technology together as design partners. The team's research has ranged from developing new digital libraries to creating innovative storytelling tools. This work is conducted with such partners as Nickelodeon, National Park Service, and many others. Mona Leigh focuses not only on new technology experiences, but also on new techniques for design which enable children and adults to better co-design technology. Her best-known research is in understanding the impact of technology design processes on the children who participate.
