For the last 15 years, Matt has led UX work for a variety of companies, including GE Health Care and WebMD. He currently works at Intel, leading teams that explore how people relate to, think about, and interact with technology, by designing and prototyping new tech experiences.
Matt has also worked at various other jobs, including raising salmon in Alaska, teaching writing to U.S. soldiers in South Korea, and directing the MFA program in creative writing at Pacific University. Matt’s poems have appeared in a variety of literary journals, and his awards include a Pushcart Prize and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. His book of poems, Public Gestures (University of Tampa Press), was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award.
