Matt Galligan is the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer for SimpleGeo, where he oversees the strategic direction of the company. He founded SimpleGeo in 2009 with Joe Stump.
Prior to SimpleGeo, Matt founded Socialthing, a service that made it easy to keep up with friends' activity from multiple social networks. Socialthing was acquired by AOL in 2008 and is currently branded as AIM Lifestream. After the acquisition, Matt worked with AOL to further develop and define their social strategy.
With a background in graphic design and user experience, Matt has also worked for MonsterCommerce, which was acquired by Network Solutions. He has long been heavily involved in the internet, starting as a graphic designer at age 15.
