The new CNN.com beta
We’re really digging the new beta CNN.com — such a huge improvement over the old site. The article detail is pure genius. Check the video tab at the top, the way the content and ads co-exist gracefully, the way content is organized… The whole thing’s manages that NY Times feel without the clutter. Bold and beautifully executed.

I’m impressed. They have done a good job in summarizing the content in a way that it doesn’t feel overwhelming and you can easily see the categories on the page. I hope they maintain this going forward.
I agree that they have done a good job on the article page as well, the other things I’m liking are “story highlights” next to the article heading and I like the fact that they have given a TEXT SIZE option for the article..what is great is that it only increases the font size of the article and not the page, but it only goes one font up.
Recently HFI (Human Factors International) redesigned the website of India’s largest news company called Time of India I think they have done a good job too.
Utterly broken on Palm’s browser, which the old site was much less broken. BBC’s news site update improved handheld browsing, on the other hand. Kudos to Auntie Beeb.
