UX Magazine is a huge Flickr fan so the news that Yahoo is planning to shut down Yahoo! Photos in favour of Flickr was greeted with much excitement. While Photos was nearly four times larger than Flickr, the latter is growing faster.

Flickr is by far the most accomplished of the two photo hosting services; and it certainly gives Google’s offering a run for its money. Speaking of which, it will be interesting to see if Google goes the same route and starts solely focusing on YouTube (which is being sued, again).
